Shortcuts for our pleasure #5

For today I post a really easy one, and try to get a more in-depth during this week. Today’s one is about efficient clip copy. There’s multiple way for doing it, this is only one possibility.

So, if you need to copy a clip to another track right above or below the original, select the desired clip and hit:

cmd+c

; or p (below or above)

cmd+v 

The order is important! The above shortcuts will copy the selected clip, move up or down (depending on the letter) with the selection remains the same and then paste the copied clip onto the new track, as you can see below.

This comes handy during editing sessions and also useful for selecting material from larger chunks among other things. Enjoy!
